DIY Mini Champagne Bottle Souvenirs

I recently got engaged and held a small party for the wedding team to get to know each other better. I wanted to have fun souvenirs, that represent the evening so we decided to go with custom made mini champagne bottles.

The engagement theme was pink (yes, the FiancĂ© is very patient & forgiving), so we decided to go with a pink striped background. The hubby to be helped design the logo with our names and date, and we printed them on A4 sized self adhesive label paper. It important to make sure that its 1 whole A4 and not pre-cut labels.

I then purchased a couple of mini champagne bottles and placed them in a large pot with water, liquid soap and a bit of miracle in a bottle - chante eclaire sgrassatore. Make sure the water covers up to the label and does not touch the top wrapping of the bottle.

I thought I would need to scrub them a little, but after about an hour, the labels just magically fell off into the bottom of the pot (win!). I wiped the bottles and let them dry for a while. The labels were then cut and stuck on the center of the bottle (eye ball it - i used the pointy bit at the top as a guide).

If you're going to line them near each other for display, make sure that they are more or less vertically centered (unlike mine... the OCD in my was aching but I had no time or resources to start over, so I matched them as best I could in groups of 3).

I also wanted to find a way to let the wedding team know the date of the wedding, but as it is too early to send save the dates to everyone, I decided to add a small tag to the bottle with the date, which would only be given to the wedding team.

I created a simple tag shape with the wedding date and a small pink (of course) heart.
Finally, cut a piece of ribbon about 40cm in length, pass it through the hole in the tag and tie a bow at the top of the bottle, because everything is cuter with a bow!

I then placed all the bottles in a pink box with a white bow and displayed them on the cake table. This made it easy to hand out when guest gathered around the table for the cake cutting.
